Spring transitional outfit

So here we go, I’m so excited to bring you my first fashion post. Please bear with me as I come to grips with posing for a camera whilst trying not to look too cringey. I can assure you it’s a skill, one that I need to learn rather quickly because god knows, I’m no natural! And with that disclaimer out of the way, let’s get to the main event—the outfit.

A button up shirt paired with jeans is basically a uniform of sorts for me. It’s certainly nothing revolutionary, but the two items individually are what I consider to be wardrobe workhorses, as I imagine many of you do too. A few small tweaks easily take this classic pairing from a year-round go-to, to something a bit more seasonal. The most obvious of these being, incorporating a floral print in your outfit. I love a floral shirt any time of the year but when worn with cropped denim and white shoes, it’s the perfect nod to the approaching warmer weather. Of course, living in Toronto, I can’t get too carried away as we’re far from ‘sans jacket’ weather. So I topped it off with a lightweight utility jacket that’s cinched at the waist. It’s warm enough to keep off the chill but not so heavy that you overheat, perfect for the unpredictable weather in the transition period. Lastly, to round it all off, I added a blush pink bag because, well…spring!
