It may be December and god knows it’s definitely cold enough but winter hasn’t officially begun yet. So today I’m sharing one last fall look before the temperatures plummet and going out without a scarf and gloves is no longer an option!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that checked prints are huge this season. From blazers and coats to pants and skirts, it seems everything comes in a checked version these days and I for one am not complaining. This is a pattern that’s very easy to style, suits everyone and is endlessly versatile too. I picked up this wool coat in Zara and it definitely ticks all those boxes for me. I like that the pattern is bold, but not too flashy and the single breasted, somewhat boxy, knee length shape works equally well with pants and skirts alike.
I’ve styled the coat with my fall uniform of a turtleneck, straight leg crop jeans and black ankle boots for a no fuss look that works every time. You could stop there but what really takes this look up a notch is the pretty special accessory on my wrist. This wood finish watch was kindly gifted to me by Jord Watches and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. The company makes some really unique all natural wooden watches that are sure to make a lasting impression. I’m wearing the Frankie 35 watch in Zebrawood & Navy—a model that suits small wrists perfectly. I especially like the chic dark dial and visible grain in the wood of this style. The color and texture both compliment fall/winter fashion particularly well. Think oversized coats, chunky scarfs and knits…you get the idea right?
If you’d like to incorporate some natural texture and elevate your accessory game this season, I’ve got a 25% off coupon code here (valid until Dec 19, 2017). Jord Watches makes men’s and women’s watches that are ideal for gifting–whether that’s for yourself or someone special. A sure way to ensure all eyes are on you your wrists this season. Just don’t forget to book in that festive manicure now…
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
